This year for the first time, the “Loryc Electric Cup” was held in Mallorca. There are electric cars in the vintage look. Joining them, racing driver Jutta Kleinschmidt and Euromaxx reporter Meike Krüger.

The replica of the first (and still only) Mallorcan automobile of 1920 – Ernest Hemingway is considered the most prominent owner – was equipped by the German inventor Charly Bosch 2015 with an electric motor. In collaboration with a workshop on the Balearic Island, four more chassis of “La Sardina” (nicknamed the Loryc for its aluminum body) were hand-crafted, which now compete against each other. At the wheel: Rally Paris Dakar winner Jutta Kleinschmidt.

The rally ended successfully. All six Loryc Electric have achieved their goal after 3 days of “toughest racing”.

The manufacturer of the Loryc, Charly Bosch writes to us: Thank you very much for supporting us in our first electric rally. Here are the links to pictures / videos and the TV report of Deutsche Welle / Euromax, which is really worth seeing!

I hope you come to Mallorca for a Loryc Electric Driving Day!
